Research Assistants

Tamia Henry

Tamia is a senior undergraduate research assistant majoring in Psychology. She is interested in personality development, psychotherapy, and family dynamics. Tamia intends on going to graduate school to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In joining the lab, she hopes to get a better understanding of parent-child interactions through a research perspective and learn new concepts throughout the process.

Florence Kyomuhendo

Florence is a junior undergraduate research assistant majoring in Psychology. She aspires to become a counseling psychologist, helping children that have undergone trauma through art therapy. Florence is interested in examining the emotional patterns that can bring about maltreatment risk for children. Outside of academics, she enjoys drawing, writing poetry, traveling, and nature trails.

Carrie McMahon

Carrie is a junior undergraduate research assistant majoring in Psychology. She plans on eventually attending graduate school to acquire a PhD in Developmental or Child Clinical Psychology. Carrie is most interested in the social/emotional development of infants and toddlers. In her free time, she loves to sing with her a cappella group, read, hike, and spend her time outdoors.

Shelby Sellars

Shelby is a junior undergraduate research assistant majoring in Psychology. She hopes to attend graduate school to obtain a Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology. Shelby enjoys studying all aspects of child development but has a specific interest in the development of self-regulation skills in children. Outside of the lab, Shelby is very passionate about THON and enjoys participating in THON events throughout the year.

Shreyas Sundar

Shreyas is a sophomore undergraduate research assistant majoring in Psychology and Philosophy. He intends on attending graduate school to further his exploration of psychology. Shreyas is interested in character development, especially how a sense of morality, empathy, and resilience is instilled in individuals. In his free time, he likes to play tennis, write, and go on long walks.
