Alex Busuito M.S.

Alex Busuito is a sixth-year doctoral student in the Child Clinical Psychology program at Penn State working with Drs. Ginger Moore and Erika Lunkenheimer. Alex received a B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2011 and subsequently spent two years at the University of Michigan studying the impact of mothers’ history of trauma on parent-infant interactions. With the support of a National Science Foundation Fellowship, Alex’s research at Penn State has been focused on relations between parent-infant co-regulation and the development of infant autonomic nervous system functioning. With Dr. Lunkenheimer, Alex plans to expand this program of research by examining the role of co-regulation in autonomic development in the context of child maltreatment.
